About Me

I’m a Washington D.C. based journalist and media enthusiast with a passion for sharing information and perpetuating conversation. My excitement for this craft is rooted in news, especially political news, where I like digging into stories to reveal context and significance.  Currently I’m diving into 2012 election coverage and hope this election is at least half as exciting as the 2008 race.

I hope to engage with thoughtful and interesting people here on my website where I’ll share some of my own experiences, but also provide relevant news updates and links to interesting content that I find throughout the day.

In May 2012, I officially joined the NBC News Political Unit as a Decision 2012 Researcher covering the presidential election.

My passion for news has never gone away – and in fact has only flourished over time.  But I really got my start by reporting for my own website, jordanjfrasier.com.  From there I’ve had extensive experience in student media as editor-in-chief of The Independent and as an editor for Connect2Mason.com.  I have also worked as a contributor to NextGen Journal where I wrote primarily about politics and presidential issues. I also worked as part of the inaugural class of USA TODAY Collegiate Correspondents, selected as one of fourteen correspondents out of nearly 1,000 of the nation’s top journalism students.  Most excitingly I’ve interned with NBC News in Washington DC for the last year and a half as part of their political unit.

I’m passionate about journalism because I believe in the power of stories and information.  More than that, I just have fun doing it!  I’ve interviewed everyone from politicians to a lady who bakes a mean gooseberry pie and I’ve even gotten to report from the White House.  This is what I was meant to do in life and I love sharing it.  So connect with me here on my website and come along with me as we take-on the wide world of news!
